2016 Winter/Spring Semester
We invite you to join with us as we come together to increase our knowledge, obedience, and love of God’s Word. Gathering with other women provides unique connection and accountability to allow those increases to come in our lives. We’re offering several different classes at Calvary to provide those opportunities.
On Tuesday Mornings beginning January 12th , 9:15-11:30am in Rooms 303 and 401
There will be two classes offered the first 8 weeks of the semester—“Acts Part Two” and “Armor of God”. Then the classes will combine the last 6 weeks for the study “Conversation Peace”.
In “Armor of God” by Priscilla Shirer, see how all day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. “Armor of God” is an action plan for putting on the armor and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. Teacher—Leanne Windle
In “Acts—Part Two” we will study Acts Chapters 13-28. We’ll join Paul as he journeys across the Roman world to proclaim the gospel to Jews and Gentiles. We’ll learn to be a bold witness and trust God like Paul. And we’ll discover how to live an authentic life that proclaims Christ in all circumstances through the power of the Holy Spirit. You may choose to study Acts Chapters 13-28 using the Precept Upon Precept workbook or by inductively studying the text of chapters 13-28. Those who choose the Precept workbook should come to class with Lesson One completed and all should study Acts Chapters 13-14. Teacher—Heidi Fulk
In “Conversation Peace” by Mary Kassian, we’ll discover the power of our words. This study aims to help you revolutionize your speech and improve your relationships by allowing God’s Word to transform you from the inside out. This study includes chunks of Scriptures from Proverbs, James, and other books to fuel this transformation. Teachers—Leanne Windle and Heidi Fulk
On Tuesday Evenings beginning January 12th , 6:45–8:30pm in Room 401
We’ll complete two studies throughout the Winter/Spring semester.
First, in “Jonah” by Priscilla Shirer, you’ll discover what to do when God “interrupts” your life. Many times, like Jonah, we run. But in this study, interruptions are redefined and you’ll see that interruption is actually God’s invitation to do something beyond your wildest dreams.
Then in “Fingerprints of God,” author Jennifer Rothchild, who lost her vision at age 15, shows how God’s touch can reach to our hearts, minds, and souls. It can wash away the anguish of sin, the bite of fear, and the ache of loneliness. Teachers—Cheryl Tappen and Kathy Tucker
On Wednesday Evenings following CBC club schedule, 6:30-8:00pm in Room 401…
Moms, join us for our ongoing group called Mom2Mom. This group provides opportunities for moms to encourage and come alongside one another in the midst of motherhood. Currently the group is reading and discussing the book “Am I Messing Up My Kids?” by Lysa TerKerust and then will begin the new study “Seamless” by Angie Smith. You are welcome to come at any time to join in with other moms for discussion and encouragement. Leaders—Donna Shinn and Sarah Bomgaars
