Let’s study and live out God’s Word together!
Join us for a DUW Summer ’17 Study!
There are three classes available this summer for you to get connected with other women and get into God’s Word! You can register online or download this 2017 Summer Registration Form to turn in and pick up your book(s) at the women’s ministry table in the CBC lobby.
This summer, you can focus on…
Prayer. Prayer is the way we communicate with God, praise, confess, give thanks, and intercede for others. It’s active and we need tools, strategies, and encouragement to grow in prayer. We’ll read Priscilla Shirer’s book Fervent to discover and use those tools and strategies. We’ll study related Scripture to fuel and focus us. And we’ll encourage each other as we learn and pray together.
**Please come to the first class (5/28) having read Strategy One—Chapters 1-3
Leaders—Bobbie Lee Barr and Chelsea Ford
Sundays at 7pm, May 28th – June 25th
The Psalms. Looking for a way to begin or grow your daily time in God’s Word? In Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth’s book, A 30 Day Walk with God in the Psalms, you’ll make time with God a daily focus, mine rich insight into His Word, and draw applications for everyday life. You’ll read through the book and a different Psalm each day, then come together to discuss, gain new insights, and challenge each other each week.
**Please come to the first class (6/21) with Days 1-6 complete.
Leaders—Tammy McGrady and Julie Stephenson
Wednesdays at 7pm, June 21st – July 19th
Our Incomparable God. Though we’ll never comprehend all of who God is, we can know Him more as we seek to understand His attributes and character. We’ll explore ways God is different than any other in Jen Wilkin’s book, None Like Him. We’ll be reminded of why our limits are a good thing in light of God’s limitlessness as we read through this book that focuses on ten attributes of God and related Scripture. As we learn and share together, we’ll be changed to be more like Him.
**Please come to the first class (8/2) having read Chapters 1-2.
Leaders—Kristin Flanery and Michele Lindberg
Wednesdays at 7pm, August 2nd – August 30th
